Welcome to the Catawba Valley Pigeon Racing Club located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the western piedmont area of North Carolina. The Club was established in 1969 when we began our racing program that same year and have endured every year since. Our beautiful club house is located on one-acre of land in the small town of Maiden, North Carolina and was proudly built in the summer of 1975 by our members. We are chartered/sanctioned by the American Racing Pigeon Union and follow the rules and guidelines of this organization.

If you are retiring or thinking of relocating and want a relaxing and friendly place to enjoy racing your winged warriors then this is the place for you. Come join us and grow with the Catawba Valley Pigeon Racing Club. We extend an open invitation for you to come visit our area for we have much to offer as your home base. Our weather includes all four distinct seasons, none of which are to the extreme. We are only an hour drive from bustling Charlotte with all of its wonders including top-notch dining and shopping opportunities. The City is well-known for NASCAR and the Lowe’s Motor Speedway. If you are more the outdoorsy type there are endless choices for hiking and camping. The US National Whitewater Center is close-by as are premier North Carolina State Parks and Recreational areas.

Our location provides easy access to main interstates 40, 85 and 77 which serve the area. Lenoir-Rhyne University and the Catawba Valley Community College are located in nearby Hickory, a furniture shopping and dining mecca of its own. Appalachian State University is less than an hour’s drive to the north. For the sports buff the Carolina Panthers (NFL) and Charlotte Bobcats (NBA) are located within the Charlotte area. Asheville and the famous Biltmore Estate is located less than an hour from the region.
